ABU DHABI has taken another step to simplify its Golden Visa programme, with VFS Global opening a new one-stop service centre at WTC Mall.

The Golden Visa grants eligible residents a 10-year permit to live and work in the UAE without the need for a local sponsor.

The scheme is aimed at property investors, high-earning professionals, entrepreneurs, and individuals with recognised talent, reflecting the emirate’s long-term goal of attracting both capital and expertise.

The programme welcomes multiple applicant categories:

  • Property investors with real estate worth at least Dh2 million in Abu Dhabi.
  • Professionals earning Dh30,000 or more per month.
  • Business owners with Dh2 million in capital or annual tax payments of Dh250,000.
  • Entrepreneurs with start-up approval or companies generating at least Dh1 million in annual revenue.

Services at VFS

The newly launched VFS Global centre provides complete assistance throughout the Golden Visa journey. This begins with a personalised eligibility check to guide applicants towards the correct visa category. Staff then prepare and organise documents and manage application submission—either in person at WTC Mall or remotely.

Once initial approval is granted, applicants must complete a medical fitness test. VFS assists with scheduling, offering standard, premium, or VIP options. The process concludes with applying for an Emirates ID, a step also handled by the centre.

By consolidating all requirements in one location, VFS Global removes the need to coordinate with multiple offices, offering a faster and smoother route to long-term residency. The service builds on wider initiatives across the UAE and GCC to attract investors and professionals through extended visa programmes.
